Preface

　　As one of the largest shoe manufacturing countries in the world, China's shoe export accounts for 68% of global total export. In recent years, due to the rising in labor price, the shortage of land resources and insufficiency of industry development space, traditional shoe manufacture bases in East China have began to move toward low cost areas in Inland. This is called “Shoe Industry Moving from East to West”.
　　According to statistics, there are more than 2,000 leather manufacturers in whole West China, with a total annual output of RMB 2 billion Yuan, as well as over 5,000 shoe manufacturers with a total output exceeding RMB 15 billion Yuan. The average annual growth rate is 21.2% and annual equipment updating rate reaches 35%. With the rapid development of shoe industry, West China will certainly become the center of China's shoe industry. Chengdu, as one of “Top 4” shoe industry cities in China, has gone far ahead of other cities in West China. Together with its favorable geographic position and wide coverage area, Chengdu emerges out rapidly, getting concerns from home and abroad.
　　Located in Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Lady Shoes Center of China is the largest lady shoes manufacture base in China. Within a radius of 3km of the base, there are more than 1,500 shoes manufacturers and supporting business. Lady Shoes Center of China·Base of Brand Enterprises lies in the core area of Wuhou District, and it has been put into the list of 'Major Production Bases in West China' and 'Major Projects in Sichuan Province'. With an area of more than 100,000 m2, it functions as exhibition center and purchasing center of shoes, shoe machine, leather and shoe material, as well as a comprehensive platform of trade, display, information construction, human resources and R&D with regard to shoe industry.
